Coronaviruses by John Ziebuhr

Coronaviruses causes severe acute respiratory syndrome (SARS). It also causes Middle East respiratory syndrome(MERS). These viruses are vital animal and human pathogens. its causative agents are group of related enveloped RNA viruses that has been recognized in the late 1960s. Animal coronavirus associated diseases are feline infectious peritonitis. And are discovered a century ago. Coronaviruses were approved a separate virus family Coronaviridae in 1975 by The International Committee on Taxonomy of Viruses. Subfamily of coronaviruses named as Coronavirinae consist of 4 genera. Coronaviruses have very big genomes of around thirty kb as compared to other RNA viruses. Further curiosity in studying coronaviruses was flickered by two recently evolving zoonotic coronaviruses, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV. These viruses are capable to cause fatal respiratory disease in human beings. Alexander Gorbalenya, in 1989 printed the 1st inclusive analysis of a coronavirus replicase gene. This effort gave a basis for countless subsequent structural, biochemical, and phylogenetic studies of corona viruses. Coronaviruses by John Ziebuhr (Eds.) is the latest volume. This Virus Research book 1st printed in 1953. It is covering a diverse range of reviews. It provide a important overview of the arena. This book is a important source for microbiologists, virologists, molecular biologists, immunologists, plant researchers and pathologists. It has contributions in virus research. This book gives complete reviews for specialist employment as well as general. It also provide reviews in virology. I hope that this textbook will be helpful to academic researchers, students, clinicians and specially in recent situations, when coronaviruses are spreading diseases all over the world.
